Report child abuse: https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/ocfs/support-for-families/child-welfare/preventing-child-abuse To report child abuse or neglect call 1-800-452-1999 (deaf and hard of hearing individuals should dial 711for the Maine Relay). Intake caseworkers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Reports of child abuse and neglect can be made confidentially or anonymously.

What we do:

Assistance Plus works with clients in their homes and communities throughout central Maine.  We provide personal home care and companionship, behavioral health care, daily living supports, intellectual/developmental supports, and substance use treatment services in over 107 towns in Maine.

Families, guardians, and friends can be assured that Assistance Plus staff are well-trained, certified, and compassionate. We are licensed, registered, bonded, and insured.

Our offices are strategically located in Benton, Waterville, Wilton, and Winslow to meet the ever-growing demands of our state's healthcare and behavioral health needs. Our founder and CEO, a mother-and-daughter team, have been working in this field for 31 years. 

The Assistance Plus mission focuses on what matters most to our clients - maintaining their independence in their own homes and in their communities. 

Our Long-term Care Services include home-care, personal support, companionship, and homemaker care for adults and the elderly. Individualized daily assistance can range from one hour per day to 24-hour personal support.  

Our Behavioral Health team provides behavioral health home services for children and adults, adult case management, and targeted children's case management. Our comprehensive Children’s Programs, like our Positive Parenting Program, have gained community recognition.

Our Daily Living Support Team works out of both Winslow and Wilton to provide Daily Living Specialist Supports, Certified Intentional Peer Support, and SKILLS supports.

Our Intellectual/developmental Supports teams provide center-based community membership, community membership (1:1, 1:2, and 1:3), community integration. We also offer Shared Living placement and provider oversight.  

Our Substance Use Treatment Team has current openings for referrals and offers counseling, medically assisted treatment, and integrated support for people seeking recovery from opioid addiction.
